After long investigation and witness search, the Human Rights Watch team has published a new report discovery regarding the Kabila regime in DRC and their willingness to stay in power by force. The findings depicts that Mr. Kabila and his regime had hired a group of M23; a group of military rebels to protect their interest and unsure that none would come between them and their reign; rebels that had for awhile spread terror and operated in massacres in the Eastern portion of the DRC after the formal end of the second Congo war. Mrs. Ida Sawyer, Central Africa Director at Human Rights Watch; based in the Democratic Republic of Congo since January 2008, states from the same seventy-eight page report that "Clandestine recruitment of fighters belonging to a violent armed group to suppress resistance shows how far President Joseph Kabila and his coterie are able to go to stay in power".
