Felix A. Tshisekedi press conference:

"Ladies and gentlemen of the press, good morning! We had requested to meet here once more, for we just got out of an assessing meeting with regard to the current situation which will materialize in the upcoming days by a two days reflection seminar. As of now, we can tell you that the rally of the Congolese opposition supports all actions that will go in the path to call our people to block/close-off the route, in accordance with the 64th article of our constitution, to this individual or group of individuals which today have taken and are keeping the Democratic Republic of Congo hostage and want to impose us a dictatorship; dictatorship which has for a very long time been fought against in this country, dictatorship that had caused a lot of victims that will become martyrs tomorrow, dictatorship that we call to combat! Therefore, we are here to call out our people to massively join to the inactive/dead city decreed tomorrow by citizen movements for instance: LUCHA, FILIMBI, CONGOLAIS DEBOUT, and many more. An inactive/dead city which sound the beginning of actions that we'll call our people until the departure of the dictator and group of individuals that helps him to desperately cling on to power. These actions to which we are calling our people, i insist, are pacific in nature; pacific but firm and strong/determined. We will pacifically resist to this power/regime to it's weakening and eviction. In no circumstances are we to yield to the blackmails nor to the various intimidation. No on will we fear, neither this hated government, this brutal and violent regime nor any eventual international community members.

The Democratic Republic of Congo is in danger, it must be freed; released from those who hold it hostage, freed from this groups of individual that wishes to degrade us and trample our rights, our freedom. Those that already steal our mineral and precious resources, bare the Republic of all its substance. We have the right, but also the duty to resist and make a dam to these individuals that are becoming dangerous for the upcoming/next generations of Congolese. Thus, for tomorrow November 15th, the rally of the opposition supports the call for the inactive/dead city called out by all citizen movements. And we are also informing our people that on Tuesday November 28th, will be held a large and peaceful march/walk, pacific i insist, but firm and determined to make the dictator go. It will be a great day for the Republic as we will have to show the entire world that the Congolese have decided to take charge of themselves and to take their destiny in their hands. And they will massively express their rejection of Joseph Kabila and his regime. We must meet and win this challenge to show the international community that it's the Congolese people that that wants to engrave its will instead of undergoing a dicta coming from elsewhere.

We gave the international community the chance through the signature we engraved at the bottom of the agreement said of the <<Saint Sylvestre>> so she could get by the pressuring, the sagging of Kabila and his gang/group of criminals So we could pacifically go to the elections by the end of 2017 to the latest and arrive to this alternation that our constitution dictates. Unfortunately, neither the agreement nor the pressures and even less the numerous sanctions by the international community to the Kabila regime made him and/or member of his office nudge.

This is the reason why we say that the initiative is now to our population; it is now its role to engrave to all, starting by us, men and women Congolese political figures, the destiny of this nation.

Thank you."
