Corneil Nanga and Nikki Haley

Shortly after Mrs. Nikki Haley, the 29th and current United States Ambassador to the United Nations's visited the independent national electoral commission (CENI) of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), that Mr. Corneille Nangaa, president of the CENI whom had previously shown his incompetence by failling to publish a proper electoral calendar in December 2016, finally decided to announce an electoral calendar that would schedule the elections at the end of 2018.

Mr. Nangaa had several times signified the Congolese population that the CENI didn't have enough money and/or enough time to organize the elections anytime soon... that changed right after Mrs. Haley passage.

To the Congolese population, this electoral calendar and everything it implies is a pure mockery, a spit on the face of the entire nation as it would mean staying under the governance of the Kabila's regime for an additional year. It would mean bearing another year with the same government that is undergoing a silent Holocaust in the country and emptying entire villages, one that uses rape and mutilation on its people, a government that keeps on getting richer while the population suffers and dies of hunger, and the list goes on...

The people of DRC are saying enough is enough, and are ready to undertake the ultimate measure that will lead them to freedom of this now dictatorial Kabila's government.
